Meet the Team

Meet Theresa Carlos Our Colon Hydro therapist:

C0B6B848-3500-4E05-B606-BFB4CF540D72_1_201_aTheresa knew that she was a natural caregiver from a very young age, growing up in a large extended family, helping to watch and take care of the younger children. Her natural abilities led her to taking a Personal Support Worker and Community Service Worker programs where she started work at a recreational facility with focus on early childhood and the senior adult day programs. As she then stepped into motherhood, Theresa decided to place her focus on entrepreneurship where she developed her own business and focused on self care which led her to her very own health journey. Upon learning the importance of her own health language Theresa naturally wanted to share it by helping others with theirs as well and completed the Colon Hydrotherapy course. Theresa believes that the time is now for moving towards better health and is passionate about helping others achieve their very own health goals.

shiyamaheadshotDr. Shiyama Hassan is an International Medical Graduate MD. After coming to Canada she has worked at McMaster Children’s Hospital as a clinical fellow. During this period she was registered with College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario.

She has also studied at Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM) in Toronto. She is a Licensed ND registered with College Of Naturopaths Of Ontario.

She is a member of Ontario Association of Naturopathic Doctors and Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors.

Naturopathic Doctors are highly educated primary care providers who integrate standard medical diagnostics with a broad range of natural therapies. NDs practice a comprehensive approach to treating illnesses and promoting health. They work in partnership with other regulated health care providers to ensure that patients receive the most comprehensive and effective care possible.

Naturopathic Medicine is a distinct system of primary care that addresses the root cause of illness or disease and promotes health and healing using natural therapies. NDs support and stimulate the body’s ability to heal itself, focusing on prevention and using natural substances and treatments. The primary goal of naturopathic treatment is to address the cause of illnesses, rather than simply treating or suppressing symptoms. In other words, NDs concern themselves with the “why” as well as with the “what” of an illness or disease.
