Contraindications for Colonics at 

Vital Link Wellness Center:

Unfortunately you will be unable to recieve Colon Hydrotherapy; unless a written consent from a licensed medical doctor is given.

  • Anal fissure/fistula (a tear in the colon)

  • Anemia (severe)

  • Aneurysm

  • Cardiac Disease (Severe, uncontrolled hypertension or congestive heart failure)

  • Cirrhosis

  • Colitis

  • Colon cancer

  • Colostomy

  • Crohn’s disease (acute inflammatory or bleeding stages)

  • Intracranial hypertension

  • Diverticulitis

  • Epilepsy or psychoses

  • GI hemorrhage/perforation

  • Hemorrhoids (in a severely inflamed or severely bleeding stage)

  • History of seizures

  • Rectal bleeding (other than minor hemorrhoids)

  • Recent heart attack

  • Hernia (abdominal/inguinal)

  • Kidney dialysis

  • Pregnancy (up to 4 months)

  • Renal insufficiency

  • Tumors/Cysts in the rectum or large intestine

  • Ulcerative Colitis (active or bleeding)

  • Water fasting (currently)
