Lisa Nugent, M.OMSc.

Lisa is no stranger to Vital Link. In 2009, she came in for an appointment and knew she wanted to be a part of the team. A week later she answered a job posting for an Office Manager and joined Vital Link. Lisa has always had an interest in health and wellness. She comes from a family involved in competitive sports and enjoys watching her two girls compete and enjoy a healthy lifestyle.

After years of clinic management, her admiration of Osteopathic Manual Practice grew and she decided to return to school to follow her passion.

“I have watched various practitioners working in a clinic setting treat patients who experienced life-changing treatments. People of all ages, health issues and traumas found relief when no one else was able to help them— I wanted to be part of that!”

Lisa has completed her 4 years of schooling at the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy and has joined the Vital Link team as an Osteopathic Manual Practitioner.

Osteopathic therapy involves easing the muscles and joints so they allow the body to return to its natural position. This re-positioning has a positive affect on the body’s nervous, circulatory and lymphatic systems – allowing the body to self-heal and self-regulate as it was intended to do.

Therapy is drugless, gentle and non-invasive and involves:

  • Myofascial Release

  • Muscle Energy

  • Cranial Sacral

  • Counter Strain

  • Oscillatory Osteoarticular Release

  • Ligamentous Articular Release

  • Lymphatic Drainage Treatment

  • Visceral Technique – Neurolymphatic Reflex

  • Trigger point and Ganglia Reflex Treatment

Lisa does not treat women during their first trimester of pregnancy.
